TASK 2: UX JOURNEY MAP
With the exercises done, it was time to start on the group
project. My group and I brainstormed on what app we could work on.
We decided to make a fitness app. After extra consideration, we
finalised our idea which is a remote personal training app. The
aim of the app is to solve issues such as limited communication
between personal trainers and their clients as well as allowing
them to continue facilitating sessions online if they are unable
to make it. The app would be supplementary to physical sessions
and serves to make personal training more flexible.
1. Exercise 1: User Persona Research
Since our group is focusing on both personal trainers and clients, we
had to try and find a good balance between respondents. Originally , we
wanted to interview our respondents physicallyt, but due to scheduling
issues on both ends, we decided to go for survey instead. It was hard
trying to look for our audiences, but luckily we managed to find a
number of people, good enough of respondents for our survey. We made 2
surveys: 1 for Clients and 1 for Personal Trainers. Attached below are
the surveys.
Personal Trainers' Survey
Clients' Survey
Our questions are aimed at time management and trainer-client
relationships. The surveys were separate to avoid any confusion, but
after receiving feedback from our lecturer, the questions are quite
similar so it could have been combined instead. For data analysis,
two documents were written for the surveys, done by Sheryl.
Data Analysis (Personal Trainers)
Data Analysis (Clients)
Based on the analysis and responses, Sarah started on the Exercise
Document, shown below.

2. Exercise 2: UX Requirements
This exercise required us to do some research on app
competitors. Some apps listed below are general competitors and
other are apps used by our survey respondents. Below is the full
app competitive analysis, done by me. The task document was done
by Reenah.
