REFLECTION

Experience:
After completing both modules Typography & Advanced Typography, I found that these modules allow me to learn and use different softwares compared to other modules I took. This allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and learn new skills. Task 1 & Task 2 of Advanced Typography was enjoyable for me as these 2 tasks allowed me to get creative and design based on our interests, which keeps me interested. Even though task 3 was not as enjoyable for me, because of the lack of time to complete it, nevertheless, I had a lot of fun and learnt many new skills when completing task 3. After completing all tasks, I was definitely more familiar with all the softwares. There is definitely room to improve,  and I will take this lesson and experience and carry it to my upcoming modules.

Observation:
I noticed that I was not able to hand in my tasks on time because I did not had the urge and motivation to ask for feedback. I definitely have to make use of every feedback session in the future. Besides that, it is evident that in all 3 tasks, I put in the most effort in the last task. As a result, I am disappointed in my past works for task 1 and 2. 

Findings:
Throughout these three tasks, I gained valuable learning experiences that enhanced my design skills. Task 01 provided insight into typography layout, deepening my understanding of effective content arrangement. Task 02 focused on branding, highlighting the importance of creating a strong brand identity and allowing me to practice branding principles. Task 03 involved font creation, giving me valuable knowledge about type development and the intricacies of designing unique typefaces. Each task contributed significantly to my growth as a designer, equipping me with a well-rounded skill set in typography, branding, and type development.
